The Visa 2012 NFL National Promotion

The air is feeling crisp and you can almost smell the fall months approaching. While there are many who could care less about the fall sports, such as football, for others, it’s what makes the rest of the months worth it. If you’re an NFL fan, NFL Extra Points Visa is playing your tune with the 2012 NFL Promotion of its credit cards. There’s also a 2012 NFL Fan Offers Sweepstakes, and we’ll cover that a bit later in this piece. Here’s what it is:

If you carry a Visa, anytime you use it between September 5 and December 27 2012, you’ll automatically be entered into a contest that will allow you to attend four of the biggest sporting events. They include Super Bowl XLVII, 2013 NFL Draft, 2013 NFL Kickoff, and the 2013 International Series in London. It’s definitely a football lover’s dream.

The Details

Here are a few of the more important rules you’ll need to know:

• You don’t have to purchase anything. Even though you’re automatically entered every time you use your Visa credit card, you can also enter online. You have an equal chance of winning regardless of how you enter.
• You must be 18 or older
• PIN and ATM transactions aren’t counted and aren’t entered into the drawing.
• The contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 states as well as DC.
• If you’re an employee of the NFL, any of the member professional football clubs and a host of other partners of the NFL, you can’t enter (see the website for specifics of those companies).

The Loot

Here’s what the winners will enjoy. One grand prize winner will receive the following FOUR trips:

Trip 1: This is a five day, four night trip for two to the Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans from January 31st 2013 to February 4th 2013. Enjoy the French Quarters and the overall atmosphere of football excitement in New Orleans. A $500 Visa gift card provides spending money for Hurricane drinks or voodoo spells if you prefer.
Trip 2: Three day, two night trip for two to the NFL Draft in New York, slated for April 2013.
Trip 3: A five day, four night trip for two to the 2013 NFL International game in London England in October 2013.
Trip 4: A three day, two night trip for two to the NFL Kickoff Weekend Game slated for September 2013. Keep in mind – the destination is unknown and will be determined as the season moves forward.

All trips include airfare to and from the event, all ground transportation, hotel accommodations and a $500 Visa gift card as spending money. The total value of all four trips comes to $44,781.

Keep in mind, we’ve barely touched on all of the specifics here. You can find all of the terms and conditions in detail on the Visa website. But for those who love football, it’s an amazing – not to mention once in a lifetime – opportunity.

NFL Fan Offers Sweepstakes

For this sweepstakes, you’ll need to enroll in the Visa NFL Fan Offers program. Each time you use your Visa until February 5, 2013, your name is entered in a drawing that has some incredible opportunities. Among them, you can win a day with John Madden in his famous game room to watch your favorite team play ball, you can also win tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII with a friend.

The same basic rules apply as above.

There are two ways you can enter this sweepstakes. If you’ve enrolled in the NFL Fan Offers program, you don’t have to do anything except use your Visa. Each qualifying purchase equates to one entry. Like its sister promotion, your ATM and PIN transactions aren’t counted.

If you wish to enter the sweepstakes without making purchases, print your name address, city, state, ZIP code, and daytime and evening telephone numbers (including area code) on a 3″ x 5″ card, and mail, in a #10 envelope with postage affixed, to: Visa Super Bowl XLVII Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 5050, Ellenton, FL 34222-5000. Remember that all mail-in entries must be postmarked by 12/27/12, and received by 1/3/13 in order to be eligible. You can enter as many times as you wish as each postcard counts as an entry.

The winner will be announced on or around January 12, 2013.

It’s an exciting time for Visa as it prepares to move forward in one of the most popular sweepstakes currently going on around the country – and certainly the most popular for Visa.
